UTV fender flares extend coverage at the wheel opening to help redirect mud, water, and grit thrown by the tires. Start by checking how far the tread sits outside the existing bodywork. Wider flares can help with spray, while extra width matters on tight trails and in a trailer.

Choose flare coverage for your wheels and tires

Look at the machine from the front and rear to see how the fender edge lines up with the tread. Check your current tire size and wheel offset before buying. Some vehicles use separate flare extensions. Others gain width from a complete replacement fender, such as the DRT 2025+ Polaris RZR Pro Series fender kit, which extends coverage beyond the original fenders.

Check clearance before finishing the installation

Test-fit the panels against the factory bodywork and any sliders or guards. Check clearance at full steering lock and through suspension travel using the vehicle manufacturer’s procedures. Follow DRT’s installation guides (look up the kit SKU) for the specified mounting sequence and any drilling or trimming. For the difference between outer coverage and wheel-well protection, see our guide to replacement fenders and inner guards.
